Dr. Paramesh Gopi joined Applied Micro in July 2008 as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Before that, he was vice-president and general manager for Marvell's Embedded and Emerging Business Unit. Dr. Gopi served as chief technologist and held several management positions during his six-year tenure at Marvell. Before joining Marvell, he served as executive director, Strategic Marketing and Applications at Mindspeed Technologies/Conexant Systems. Gopi holds a doctorate in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, Irvine.
Mr. Robert G. Gargus
Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Bob Gargus, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer joined AMCC in October 2005. Before joining AMCC, Mr. Gargus was chief financial officer of Open-Silicon, Inc., a privately held fabless ASIC company. Prior to Open-Silicon, he was the CFO at Silicon Image, a public semiconductor company specializing in high-speed serial communications technology selling into the personal computer, storage and consumer electronics markets, where he was responsible for the company's finance, investor relations, legal and human resources activities. Before Silicon Image, Mr. Gargus served as president and CEO of Telcom Semiconductor. Under Mr. Gargus' leadership, Telcom Semiconductor achieved solid revenue growth and profitability, and was selected by Forbes Magazine in October 2000 as one of the "200 Best Small Companies." Prior to Telcom Semiconductor, MR. Gargus spent over 10 years with Tandem Computers, serving in various roles including corporate controller, and president and general manager of Atalla Corporation, a Tandem Computers subsidiary.
Mr. Gargus holds an MBA in Finance and a BS in Accounting from the University of Detroit.
Ms. Cynthia J. Moreland
Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
Cindi Moreland joined AMCC in July 2005 with over 20 years legal experience working with technology companies as both outside and in-house counsel. Prior to joining AMCC, Ms. Moreland served as "Of Counsel" with McGlinchey Stafford, PLLC where she focused on commercial transactions and litigation, intellectual property, government contracts and corporate compliance. From 1989 - 2001, Ms. Moreland served in a number of increasingly responsible positions at Motorola including three years as head of legal for Motorola's Semiconductor Products Sector (now Freescale, Inc.). Ms. Moreland started her legal career in Washington DC, with Steptoe & Johnson, one of the countries largest and most prestigious law firms.
Ms. Moreland earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Mississippi, magna cum laude and her Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi, cum laude. She is a past chair of the Legal Issues Committee of the Intelligent Transportation Society of America and a former instructor of government contracts at the University of Phoenix.
Mr. Roger Wendelken
Vice President of World Wide Sales
Roger Wendelken joined AMCC in May 2006. Prior to joining AMCC Roger was Vice President of Sales for the Communications and Consumer Group of Marvell Technology Group. Mr. Wendelken's 16 years of semiconductor sales experience also includes various positions at Advanced Micro Devices, IBM Microelectronics Group, Metalink Broadband, and Accelerant Networks. Mr. Wendelken's semiconductor sales experience encompasses a number of technology market segments.
Mr. Wendelken holds a BSEE degree from Georgia Institute of Technology.
